Pink Opal (also known as Peruvian Opal or Andean Opal) is a nurturing stone that promotes tranquillity, calms anxiety, and is said to help alleviate sadness. Deeply connected to the Heart chakra, it encourages love, compassion and emotional healing. It’s also known as the “Stone of Spiritual Awakening’, opening a deeper connection to the Divine and spiritual self. The Inca believed it was a way to communicate with higher powers, particularly Mother Goddess. The Ancient Egyptians wore Pink Opal crowns for protection, hope, and divine favour. The Romans saw it as a stone of purity and love, using it to symbolise affection. And the Cherokee recognised Pink Opal as one of their seven sacred stones, representing harmony and healing.
